This is a brief summary of annual Town Meetings and Special Town Meetings over the last several years. West Gardiner's Annual Meeting is usually held in mid March and all financial decisions and proposed ordinance changes are made there. Town elections are usually held earlier in the same day.

April 6, 2024 -- Annual Town Meeting

April 1, 2023 -- Annual Town Meeting -- 300+ citizens discuss and vote on 66 articles in just over 2 hours 40 minutes.  Four proposed ordinances were passed over along with 2 citizen petitions.

October 27, 2022 -- Special Town Meeting -- vote to purchase a new Plow Truck and arrange financing

April 9, 2022 -- Annual Town Meeting -- about 85 citizens considered and voted on the 59 articles in just over 2 hours.

December 16, 2021 -- Special Town Meeting -- vote to change Tax Collector/Treasurer position from elected to appointed?  Vote was 21 YES and 19 NO......45 attending

April 10, 2021 -- Annual Town Meeting -- masks and social distancing were required at the Highway Garage for about 60 citizens to consider and act on warrant articles at 1:30 PM

July 2020 -- Annual Town Meeting -- 

March 16, 2019 -- Annual Town Meeting-- 64 articles were considered by about 130 folks within 95 minutes.  There was normal discussion on many items and 2 new ordinances were passed -- a local food sovereignty ordinance and a Fire Dep't Restitution ordinance

March 17, 2018 -- Annual Town Meeting-- about 110 folks take action on 64 articles within 2hours,40 mins.  There was extended discussion on the Gardiner Library and minimum lot sizes for commercial properties 

March 18, 2017 -- Annual Town Meeting-- 128 folks covered 66 articles
