A town Comprehensive Plan is a document designed to guide the future actions of a community.

It explains a future vision with long-term goals and objectives for all activities that affect the local government.

West Gardiner's last Comprehensive Plan was completed in 1990 and is quite outdated in today's standards and needs to be updated to address the town's current and future issues.

A Committee was organized in February 2023 and is beginning the long process of addressing the many concerns of the community.
